Blind Therapists shine light on Shinta Mani Spas in Cambodia

Calm scene

Cambodia hotel group, Shinta Mani Hotels, has introduced a programme to train and employ local blind people to work as massage therapists in the hotels’ spa. This initiative provides the therapists with an opportunity to earn an income which may not have otherwise been available to them, enabling them to support themselves and their families.

Shinta Mani is renowned for its philanthropy thanks to the tireless efforts of the Shinta Mani Foundation. This is a not-for-profit NGO which is dedicated to supporting local communities.  It provides vital services and develops schemes to equip local people with the tools to overcome the constraints of poverty.

The Shinta Mani Spa uses 100 percent natural products. These are combined with therapeutic treatments. based on traditional and modern healing rituals. They  boost concentration and awareness while reducing stress, helping guests to attain ultimate balance.

Blind therapists  have been trained to do the Signature Oil Massage, a traditional Khmer Massage and a relaxing Foot Massage.
